SEEKING PLEASURE IS NOT HAPPINESS

Pleasure is first achieved and then lost - to be followed by the next such a pleasure-pain cycle, and the next, and the next...

Pleasure Today is when you achieve some thing today when you had desired that some thing yesterday...

So it is dependent upon some cause...

When the cause is taken away or is damaged or is lost, pleasure also goes away...

Also it is very short lasting because immediately our human mind starts craving for the next pleasure, and then the next, and so on and so forth...

In contrast,

Happiness Today has no cause or achievement behind it...

We are happy with whatever life gives to us in any moment...

Whether it is dukh or sukh remains immaterial...

It is Total Acceptance of life as it unfolds every moment, every day...

That is why happiness is a permanent state of our existence, while pleasure is always temporary and leads to inner emptiness more and more.

Pleasure is first achieved and then lost - to be followed by the next such a pleasure-pain cycle, and the next, and the next...

While happiness is never achieved... it simply happens as a default when we are into regular meditation daily.
